Remember when Toyota—through its luxury arm, Lexus—unveiled the gloriously boxy GX last month? The automaker’s decision to reveal the upscale counterpart of the all-new Land Cruiser Prado was a stroke of genius, leaving many to wonder how it would look without the spindle grille and the lightbar.

Well, Toyota has posted images of two silhouettes: One is the iconic J40 Land Cruiser, and the other is a mysterious boxy SUV that is similar in form to the GX. This is a very obvious hint that it is the all-new Land Cruiser Prado.

While we cannot say how the interior and the exterior will turn out, you can expect mostly the same underpinnings as those of its luxurious cousin. This includes the TNGA-F body-on-frame platform, two powertrains, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 or a 2.4-liter turbo in-line-four mated to a hybrid system, and a capable suspension setup—sans the Adaptive Variable Suspension tech normally found in Lexus vehicles.

As of this writing, Toyota has not provided an exact launch date, but it should come very soon considering that the GX will be going on sale early next year.
