Remember the Subaru Forester GT Edition? This was a special variant of the Foz that featured bodykit that was designed by former Subaru designer Masahiko Kobayashi, and was also manufactured by Giken Co. Ltd., so you knew that you were getting the good stuff.
For 2023, Subaru brings back the GT Edition kit, complete with the silver-accented front and rear lip kits, side skirts, a blacked-out roof spoiler with a black rear trunk garnish, and new 18-inch alloy wheels that feature the “GT” logo instead of the usual Pleiades emblem.
Inside, the leather seats receive black diamond quilting for a more upscale feel, and the car also has the latest iteration of Subaru’s safety system (EyeSight 4.0), so it has aids like driver monitoring and advanced lane-centering.
Here in Singapore, the Forester is equipped with the 2.0-liter e-Boxer hybrid drivetrain, although there is also the regular i-S variant. We won’t be receiving the vehicle with the hybrid powertrain, but our market is set to get this model by the end of February.
