Sauber to become Audi’s official F1 works team in 2026

Do you think Audi will be competitive in Formula 1? PHOTO FROM FORMULA 1

Starting in 2026, Sauber will become Audi’s official works team in Formula 1. Earlier in August, it was announced that the German manufacturer would be entering the sport as a power unit supplier in time for the new engine regulations. But now, it has revealed that it will be acquiring a stake in the Sauber Group.

If you’ve been following F1 the past few years, you must know that Sauber has been sporting Alfa Romeo branding since 2019, and will continue to do so until the end of 2023. However, the Swiss team will continue running Ferrari power units until 2025, right before the new rules.

Hopefully, the actual car will look better than this. PHOTO FROM FORMULA 1

With this development, do you think Sauber will be fighting at the front of the grid come 2026?
