Back in 1972, Porsche released the iconic 911 Carrera RS 2.7. The fastest German production car of its day, this model was characterized by its ducktail rear wing. To celebrate the car’s 50th anniversary, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer collaborated with TAG Heuer to release two limited-edition Carrera chronographs.
Both watches have a 42mm case diameter with a sapphire-crystal caseback showcasing the Calibre Heuer 02 with a power reserve of 80 hours. Being a chronograph, minute and hour counters can be found at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, respectively, while a subdial for the second hand and a date window are located at 6 o’clock.
These limited-edition chronographs come in two colors. The Sporty Blue Edition is stainless steel with only 500 pieces at P452,999 each, while the Sporty Red Edition is 18-karat rose gold and limited to only 250 pieces at P1,378,999 each. However, TAG Heuer’s site says they’re both unavailable, so good luck finding one.
