After being canceled due to the COVID pandemic in 2020, the biennial World Ducati Week (WDW, for short) will be back this year. And since this will be the first WDW in four years, the Bologna-based motorcycle brand plans to bring it back with a bang.
In order to reignite the passion and camaraderie of Ducatisti before the main festivities of WDW, Ducati has organized its first-ever “Let’s Ride As One” global unity ride. On May 7, localized group rides of Ducati owners will be happening all across the globe.
Here in the Philippines, owners residing in Luzon will take off from the Manila and Alabang dealerships, and converge with the delegates waiting at Ducati’s Clark showroom. From there, the combined group’s first order of business shall be a photo-op with the Philippine flag waving in front of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority office before heading to ACEA Subic Beach Resort, where breakfast will be provided courtesy of local distributor T.A. Marketing.
Planned activities include a raffle and an award for the best-dressed owner in Ducati-branded gear. Dealerships in Cebu as well as Davao and Cagayan De Oro will be organizing their own group rides in order to participate in the global event.
As we write this, 200 Pinoy Ducatisti have already registered for the ride, and that number is projected to grow to 250 riders in the coming days. Contact your local Ducati dealership to register, and be a part of this historical celebration. Forza, Ducati!
