As it is, the Range Rover Sport SVR is one very powerful and very luxurious member of the Land Rover family. It is peppered with features that make it a favorite among the brand’s moneyed clientele. But the automaker isn’t stopping just there, and proof of this is in the vehicle’s even crazier version.
Simply called the Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition, one of the obvious changes is the limited selection of paint jobs: Gloss Maya Blue, Gloss Marl Gray, and Satin Ligurian Black. For contrast, some trim pieces are treated in Fuji White. Blacked-out bits include the roof, the 22-inch forged alloy wheels, and the brake calipers. Inside, the Ultimate Edition gets illuminated sill plates and anodized shift paddles.
The supercharged V8 under the hood is the most powerful engine in Land Rover’s arsenal. This 5.0-liter beast is good for 567hp and a tarmac-ripping 700Nm. Equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission, this SUV sprints to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds and runs out of breath at 283km/h.
The Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition will make its public debut at Blenheim Palace in the UK on September 1. But dealers around the globe are now accepting orders, and prices start at £123,900 (P8.51 million).
