Here are the specs of the P12.445-million 2024 Nissan GT-R

Remember when Nissan Quezon Avenue jumped the gun in revealing that the 2024 GT-R would be launching in our country for a staggering P12.445 million? Naturally, the news was met with mixed reception, mostly because of the large price increase over the previous GT-R which had retailed at P8.9 million.

Fans were speculating about what the P3.545-million difference brings to the table as official specifications had not been released yet. But if you head to Nissan Philippines‘ official website, you’ll be able to see that the GT-R’s landing page has been updated to reflect the 2024-spec model.

The obvious changes include the vehicle’s new cosmetics. The front bumper has been restyled, especially in the front grille as a callback to the Skyline GT-R (R34)’s split bumper. It’s flanked by two new hexagon DRLs.

The car rides on staggered multi-spoke 20-inch forged alloy wheels by Rays that conceal Brembo brakes, and the rear bumper has been revamped, now housing a titanium exhaust with quad burnt tips and active valves that Nissan calls Sound Control.

Colors include Vibrant Red, Ultimate Silver, Gun Metallic, Pearl White, Pearl Black, and the iconic Bayside Blue.

Otherwise, everything else remains unchanged, down to the cabin that can be configured with either a Black, Amber Red, or Urban Gray semi-aniline leather upholstery. Even the eight-inch head unit that is paired to an 11-speaker Bose audio system still has no mention of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

Powering the sports car is the familiar hand-built 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 (VR38DETT) mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission that pushes out 562hp and 637Nm. All of that pull is handled by the legendary ATTESA ET-S all-wheel drive system with a 1.5-way mechanical LSD.

While the GT-R already has cemented its reputation in the automotive world, it’s hard to deny just how little has changed in the model’s 16 years of existence. But one thing that cannot remain unchanged is the vehicle’s price. Are you still interested?
