The Geely GX3 Pro is the latest entry in the subcompact crossover segment with the Chinese brand aiming it toward first-time car buyers. The model was first previewed at the Manila International Auto Show this year, and its prices were shared just a few days ago. Now, the full specs have been announced with its launch.
The GX3 Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter in-line-four gasoline engine producing 102hp and 142Nm.
It is 4,005mm long, 1,760mm wide, and 1,575mm high, with 500L of cargo space and a 60:40 split for the rear seats.
The GX3 Pro comes in two variants, the S and the Comfort. The main difference is the transmission with the former having a five-speed manual transmission and the latter having a CVT with eight selectable gears.
Both variants roll on 16-inch wheels with stopping power provided by disc brakes. The headlights are halogen, while the DRLs are LEDs. Exclusive to the Comfort variant are auto headlight control and a sunroof.
The digital instrument cluster is displayed through a 3.5-inch screen. There is an eight-inch infotainment system, but it only features screen mirroring via CarbitLink.
As far as safety and convenience are concerned, the GX3 Pro has two airbags at the front for the driver and the passenger. Parking is made easier via a reverse camera and rear parking sensors.
Exclusive to the Comfort variant are traction and stability control, cruise control, hill-start assist, and hill descent control.
The SRPs of the Geely GX3 Pro are P778,00 for the S variant and P878,000 for the Comfort variant. But they will have introductory prices of P698,000 and P798,000, respectively. Under the G-Serv+ aftersales program, customers get a five-year or 150,000km warranty as well as one year of free roadside assistance.
Knowing the specs and the features of this new subcompact crossover, would you consider this over the likes of the Toyota Raize and the Kia Stonic?
