In the automotive world, the Land Rover marque is incredibly iconic, having celebrated its 75th anniversary last year. This is why the company has come out with the aptly named Defender 75th Limited Edition.
Normally, limited releases such as this are hard to come by around the world, but according to Coventry Motors (the official distributor of Land Rover in the Philippines), it was fortunate enough to receive three units of the Defender 75th Limited Edition, specifically the HSE D300 variant in both 90 and 110 body configurations (sadly, no 130).
The 75th Limited Edition comes in an exclusive color called Grasmere Green, which can be found all over the body, the roof, and the 20-inch alloy wheels. There is also the prerequisite “75 Years” badging on the tailgate. And it has Ceres Silver bumpers and privacy glass.
Optionally, you can add a sliding panoramic glass roof, an electronically deployable tow bar, and all-season tires. This model (D300) is powered by a 3.0-liter in-line-six turbodiesel with 296hp (300ps) and 650Nm.
The interior also receives licks of the Grasmere Green hue, along with laser-etched detailing. The 14-way power-adjustable heated front seats are upholstered in Resist Ebony upholstery, and feature Robustec fabric material—all properly rugged materials for a rugged SUV.
Standard equipment includes a 360° camera, the Terrain Response system, a Meridian sound system for the 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment, Matrix LED front lighting, a heads-up display, a wireless charger, three-zone climate control with a heated steering wheel, and a folding fabric roof.
Now, if you are one of the lucky buyers who can afford the asking price of P11.69 million, you’d better act fast because we expect this incredibly limited-edition model to sell out.
But if you’d still like to join the 75th-anniversary celebrations, you can also get some gear from the Lifestyle Collection, like a unique watch with two straps, a backpack, and clothing all kitted out in the Grasmere Green color theme with the “75 Years” graphics.
