Unit Garage’s Classic Kit needs to be on every Yamaha Ténéré 700

First released in 2019, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 is a tried and tested adventure bike that’s loved the world over. The rumbly CP2 engine, the revolutionary anti-squat feature, and the perfect weight distribution are just some of the things that make the T7 an international sensation. But the one thing it isn’t known for is being a looker.

While the T7’s robotic design isn’t unattractive, it isn’t going to win awards for the way it looks, either. Well, Unit Garage is here to change just that with the Ténéré Classic Kit.

The centerpiece of this kit is the large round LED headlight adorned by a vintage-style cowl. The front fender is raised and now sits right underneath the headlight, which contributes greatly to the enduro-bike stance. To complete the old-school aesthetic, the side panels that flank both sides of the tank are replaced with boxier custom pieces, too. The end result essentially turns the T7 into a handsome ADV-sized dirt bike, and gives it an irresistible retro flair.

Other components provided in the kit are the decals, an aluminum radiator guard, Motogadget turn signals, and all the necessary peripherals for the conversion.

The best part of it all is that the kit is completely plug-and-play, and does not require any welding, drilling, or fabrication work. All you need is a leisurely Sunday afternoon and a set of basic tools to get this thing on, and you can just as easily restore the OEM look should you wish to do so. The kit also shaves 4.5kg from the bike, bringing the T7’s wet weight right under 200kg.

The Ténéré 700 Classic Kit is on sale right now on Unit Garage’s website, and will set buyers back by €1,226 (P71,850)—raw unpainted ABS—or €1,398 (P81,930)—finished in Midnight Black or Classic Icon Blue.
