Two years ago, Ford launched its Territory in the Philippines, and the car is now one of the best-selling subcompact crossovers in the market. With 3,691 units sold in the first half of this year (11% more than last year), the Territory now supposedly has a dominant market share of 52%, according to Ford.

In June this year, the car posted a new monthly sales record with 1,574 units—almost three times more than the same month last year. It doesn’t stop there as the Territory has already reached its 10,000th customer with total sales expected to hit 15,000 units by the end of this year.

“We are delighted to see that the Territory has maintained its appeal to Filipino SUV customers two years since it was launched,” said Mike Breen, managing director of Ford Philippines. “It remains one of our most important vehicles in the Ford lineup, and we are excited to sustain its success for the remainder of the year.”

Backing up the strong sales is a growing online community as the Ford Territory Club Philippines now has over 22,000 members. If you’d like to learn more about the Territory, you can read about our experience with this car here.
