As with all cars currently on sale, when one reaches a certain point in their lives, it’s due for a facelift to keep things fresh. In BMW-speak, a vehicle undergoes a Life Cycle Impulse, just like how the current X3 (G01) received one last year. Now, SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation, the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, is offering the updated Sports Activity Vehicle in the xDrive20d Business trim.
The exterior of the X3 grows a little angrier for its midlife facelift, growing more chiseled with angular bodywork and lines, including a larger, redesigned kidney grille, sharper front and rear bumpers, 18-inch V-spoke alloy wheels, and revised lighting elements like flatter headlights and three-dimensional rear taillights reminiscent of Halo’s Energy Sword weapon.
The cabin receives a larger 10.25-inch infotainment display running its Operating System 7 with voice control, connected music, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. There’s a smaller 5.1-inch color display in the instrument cluster.
Comfort-wise, there are electrically adjustable front seats, with all seats upholstered in Black Vernasca leather. New is the three-zone climate control, with an updated control panel that has an LCD display and buttons for the hazard lights and the driver-assistance systems.
Powering the X3 is a 2.0-liter in-line-four turbodiesel engine with a healthy 190hp and 400Nm. All of this power goes through an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is then sent to all four wheels to ensure that you have enough power and control regarding the driving conditions.
The vehicle will cost you P3.79 million, and it comes with a five-year comprehensive warranty to make your life with the vehicle easier and more enjoyable.
