The 2021 Mercedes-AMG F1 contender has been turned into a Lego playset

One of the craziest seasons in Formula 1 just ended, and you might be looking for a Mercedes-AMG memento (because you just so happen to be a staunch fan of the team). You already have all the shirts, the caps, and even the die-cast models of the W12 E Performance, so why not indulge in a little something that you can build and enjoy with your children?

Bolstering Lego’s growing catalog of Speed Champions playsets is a two-car Mercedes-AMG pack, featuring its 2021 competitor, the W12 E Performance, and the F1-powered Mercedes-AMG Project One hypercar.

This 564-piece playset contains the two cars, two Minifigures (one in a Mercedes-AMG racing suit, the other in a more casual AMG shirt), and extra pieces to swap out the driver numbers if you want to show some love to either racer. But we find it weird that this includes the wet tires instead of the other tire compounds. This set (item number 76909) will launch on March 1 for $29.99 (P1,500).

If you were hoping for other cars, fear not, as there are other new sets to choose from. Like the 1970 Ferrari 570 M (item number 76906), the Lotus Evija (item number 76907), the Lamborghini Countach (item number 76908), and the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 set (item number 76910). The single-car sets will cost you $19.99 (P1,000), while the Aston Martin set costs $39.99 (P2,000).

So, before you place an order for any of these, you’d better get your significant other something big for Valentine’s Day so she will (probably) let this purchase slide.
