Remember when the Department of Transportation announced that unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals would be allowed to use public transportation for 30 days? The agency again released another clarification about the “no vaccination, no ride” policy, and it is now automatically suspended.
Following the shift of Metro Manila to Alert Level 2 yesterday (February 1), the DOTr wants to clarify that the policy is not permanent and that it will only be enforced while NCR is under Alert Level 3 or higher. Be reminded, though, that health and safety protocols are still in effect, so wearing of masks and observance of social distancing are expected.
This means anyone can travel—whether vaccinated or not. Take this as you will, but should we be re-elevated back to any higher “Alert Level” status, you already know what to do if you need to take public transportation. Take care out there.
