The recently revealed all-new Ford Ranger sent shockwaves in its segment. More than its good looks, the brand’s new pickup fighter has significant improvements in performance, capability and comfort. It also gets class-leading features that will surely be welcome news for consumers. While we’re still waiting for the vehicle’s local launch, buyers naturally have one question: When will we see the all-new Everest?
Last time around, it took Ford quite a while to launch the Ranger’s SUV twin. But now, it seems like the gap may be considerably shorter as the automaker has just released some press images of its (camouflaged) upcoming model. In fact, we’ve already uploaded a video on our Facebook page.
Ford Australia exterior designer Lee Imrie designed the special camo livery. A series of 45° angles represent mountain peeks, and reflective elements make the prototype Everest stylish even at night. Obviously, many of the bits are still well hidden, but there is a QR code that leads to a website where onlookers can share their experiences with the cloaked Everest.
No technical details have been revealed, but expect many of the all-new Ranger’s toys to make it to the latest Everest. The current model is still one of the most advanced midsize SUVs currently on sale, so its successor should make its competitors worry a lot.
Do you think Ford has another winner here?
